Terms of Service — Migraine Forecast
Last updated: 15 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Migraine Forecast app ("the app"), developed and operated by Aman Sur ("developer", "I", "me"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What the app does
Migraine Forecast is a personal health tracking app that helps you identify patterns and forecast risk for migraine attacks. It optionally integrates with Oura Ring, Apple Health, and Health Connect to read biometric data you have already collected, and with Open-Meteo to retrieve weather and air-quality data relevant to your location. All data processing happens locally on your device.
2. Not medical advice
The app is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the app should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for decisions about your health.
3. Oura Ring integration
If you choose to connect your Oura Ring account, the app uses Oura's OAuth 2.0 authorization flow to obtain permission to read your Oura data. Specifically:
- You authorize the app through Oura's own login page. The developer never sees your Oura credentials.
- The app requests access to sleep, activity, and readiness data from Oura's API (
api.ouraring.com). - The access token, refresh token, and token expiry are stored in secure storage on your device and used solely to fetch your Oura data on your behalf.
- You can revoke the app's access at any time from the app's Settings screen ("Disconnect Oura") or from your Oura account settings at cloud.ouraring.com.
- Your use of Oura's service remains subject to Oura's Terms of Service and Oura's Privacy Policy.
4. Your data
The app stores all personal data locally on your device. The developer does not collect, store, or access any of your health data or usage information. For full details see the Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app only for lawful personal health tracking. You must not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app in ways that violate applicable law.
- Use the app to access another person's health data without their consent.
- Use the app in any way that violates Oura's API terms or any third-party terms applicable to connected services.
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developer makes no guarantees about accuracy, reliability, availability, or fitness for any particular purpose. Forecasts are based on statistical patterns and are not guarantees of future events.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on any forecast or data displayed. The developer's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.
8. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
